Vipin Yadav bestowed with the Trendsetter 2022 award by Hon. Governor of Maharashtra

March 7: “Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier. This famous quote holds true for Vipin Yadav, the Managing Director of Star Link Communication Pvt. Ltd., a leading biometric solution provider and manufacturer. His vision and relentless pursuit to create next-gen technology solutions to help enterprises deliver supreme business value has helped him achieve the Trendsetter Award 2022. He was felicitated by the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, in the ceremony which took place at Raj Bhawan on 24th February, 2022.

Star Link has been empowering its clients across industries with best-in-class technology solution for over 25 years now. Their premium products and services have led to a strong relationship with their clients across the country. Till date they have successfully served 8000+ clients including brands like Maruti, Haldirams, and Yamaha.

The foundation for their successful business lies at the passion Vipin has for electronics. As a 13-year-old he had started to experiment with wires and created machines like audio amplifier, ham radio among many others. All this was done in an age when internet was not at disposal and DIY videos did not exist; he used his knowledge from books, magazines, and friends who shared the same interest. He knew his calling was engineering and had set his focus on becoming an engineer who would create disruptive machines that would help enterprises run efficiently. However, his dream saw a halt when he was unable to clear the engineering entrance exam and had to pursue B.Ss. But as the famous saying goes,” Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn”, and it did. Three years after completing his graduation he was able to secure a seat in a private engineering college to follow his passion.

It is his passion and faith that helped him complete his engineering dream and secure a job at a Delhi based PCO company at their R&D department. While working here he was able to gain market understating and customer pain points which led him to take the plunge and start his own venture in 1996. He put all his life savings into the business and Star Link was born in his 2BHK. He continued operating from his home with two other family members and within a few months were creating 1500-2000 pieces of a revolutionary machine which helped a common man with a landline connection make a STD call, thus eliminating the need to visit a PCO shop. They were the first ones in India to create this unique solution and were recognized by the Department of Telecom in the year 1998 for the same.

Since its inception, Vipin has been growing Star Link with futuristic solutions. He works on the principle that the customer is not looking for a product but a holistic solution that can solve a business issue and help drive value. This lies at the core of all the products they create and wish to create in the future. Today, they are also supporting the Made in India dream as all their high-tech solutions are designed, developed, and manufactured in India.

Vipin is indeed a great inspiration for all the bussing entrepreneurs out there. His story exemplifies that once you set your mind on a mission you can achieve the same with your hard work, passion, and faith. Being unable to clear engineering entrance exam did not stop him from believing in himself and his mission. Had he hung his boots back then, Star Link would not have been celebrating their silver jubilee this year.
