Aiden Middleton, 18, only worked at Wellburn House Retirement Home for a month, but has already received praise from headquarters for his positive attitude.
Despite the 12 hours of work, Aiden entertains and cheers the residents – some of them only 94 years old – by involving them in TikTok’s videos.
The retirement home, located in the country of Durham, has become popular. 1.3 million users watched the first video in which Aiden dances with the residents of Willie and Ron.
In his last 60-second music video, he danced to jazz music with 94-year-old Mary Jackson.
Wellburn House cares for 90 residents, and Aiden helps care for 19 people, most of whom have dementia.
said Aidan from North Yorkshire: The most important thing is that they are happy and smile – and that they leave no one unguarded.
They love to get up and recharge their energy. It gives him a smile. Most people don’t take it too seriously, which makes them laugh.

Aidan went on: I’m taking her for one of the nurses! She takes care of people – if someone needs a toilet and can’t go herself, she comes to us.
TikTok’s idea came from his managers, who challenged him to make videos with the locals.

he said: I didn’t have to ask the residents to join me more than once. They all wanted to do it.
It’s so sweet and it’s a change for her. Instead of sitting in a room, they do something else, like a dance they like to do.
In the first video only two takes were needed for the training, while some of the more difficult dances only needed three takes.

Aidan added: Many of them liked to dance when they were younger.
One of the ladies said that we brought back the memories of her and her dead husband while dancing.

She started crying and told me we brought back so many memories.
I’ll never forget it. Tears came into my eyes. I’m not the kind of person who can be emotional. I sat down with her and brought her a cup of tea.
Aiden said several residents have come out of their cochlea since he started working there.
And he only worked there a month.
He’s not too sure of his secret, but he thinks it might have something to do with his quiet atmosphere.
Aidan, who graduated last year, I added that they feel comfortable. You can talk to me about anything. You can ask me anything.
I really like this job. That’s very helpful.
