The world economy is in ruins. An unknown number of people all over the world have lost their jobs. A lot of them died. The pandemic is changing the world. We don’t know when this nightmare will end. Everybody’s life has been turned upside down.
But one thing remains the same. The glorious summer has begun and the elders have returned as constant and unwavering guests. It starts to bloom again, shines and gives a yellow colour. It’s as if the blossoming branches are trying to whisper in these catastrophic times: They can’t beat us.
Only yesterday morning a small amalgam was seen in an area south of Delhi, the branches of which were recently filled with golden yellow flower bouquets. And coincidentally, too fantastic to believe, a young man was seen standing just below these colours, wearing a mask that had exactly the same shade of yellow.
The show was indescribably moving.
The Amalty trees are not very impressive all year round. But during the summer months, when it’s so hot in the city that it’s almost unbearable, they are suddenly covered with layers of shiny flowers and their flowers continue to fall to the ground in a kind of silent, magical soul.
To discover the Amals in their most divine form, a walk along the central avenues of Delhi, such as Hayley Road and Amrita Shergill Marg, is the necessary pilgrimage. Then there’s a bungalow road in North Delhi… …but I’m sorry! The world has changed. They can’t move around the city freely anymore. Who knows when the coronavirus crisis will get out of hand. This can only happen long after the Amalta flowers, so in June.
But don’t despair. Many of us now have to go to work after a partial relaxation. You also always have to go to the shop on the corner to buy the right products. And every time you leave the house, you’ll probably be reassured to see at least one amalgam blossoming in your neighborhood.
And it’s not just the Amalettes.
On the day that a young man wearing a yellow mask admired yellow almonds, the same correspondent saw a woman wearing a red mask admiring red hara gum flowers (coincidence!), these trees are also in bloom and their beauty is just as inspiring. And as for the elderly, there are Gulmo resin in different parts of the city – every tree shines like a flame. The woman looked at the red flowers for a long time while the sun burst behind the foliage in the late morning and the glistening light concentrated like a reading lamp. Because of the mask it was difficult to see the expression on the woman’s face, but she must have felt touched. Before that she took her mobile phone and clicked on the picture before she went to the supermarket.
In fact, some of Delhi’s flowering amts and rubbers are so impressive with their bright colours that a chance encounter can make the viewer forget the daily tensions, even the rabid coronavirus.
